Hope Montessori School is building a Children’s Garden which is directly outside of our classroom. This will allow for outdoor play and learning year round. Over the next year teachers, students, and parents will be working to build a beautiful working garden space including perennial flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. Our lesson plans incorporate the natural sciences into mathematics, language, practical life, and visual art.
Hope Montessori offers a comprehensive curriculum exploring the visual arts through the elements of design. Art lessons are always part of the daily offering in the Montessori classroom. Each year the children work in a wide range of media including drawing, painting, collage, ceramics, sculpture, mosaic, and printmaking.
This annual summer program offers children in-depth experiences in the fine arts. We love to get creative and dive deep into more on-going explorations in color, clay, printmaking, painting, nature craft, wood craft, and sewing. All of this happens while we keep active with swimming, hiking, and exploring Missoula's fantastic outdoor resources. Sessions begin at the close of school year and run for six weeks. Full and weekly enrollment are available.
Each year Hope parents and families are invited to a variety of events including: garden days, musical or cultural celebrations, Montessori Math/Language Night, Farmer's Markets, High Tea, and our Spring Garden Fundraiser.
